Our Members
The state broadcasters associations (SBAs) that make up NASBA are tasked with protecting and promoting over-the-air television and radio stations in their respective states and territories. Many SBAs offer continuing education with webinars and seminars, college scholarship and internships for future broadcasters, regulatory compliance programs, but all SBAs focus on advocacy in Washington DC and their state legislatures.
NASBA members enjoy one-on-one relationships with their House and Senate members, and Congressional staff members count on NASBA’s insight and opinions as legislation is being considered. NASBA has played an integral and important part in shaping the debate on issues surrounding retransmission consent, fair compensation for vital local journalism, ensuring the viability of the nation's National Public Warning System through inclusion of AM radio in vehicles, turning away a radio performance tax which would have a crippling effect on localism, and much more.
